A listing on Shopfloor Index is an editorial entry: a profile we write, on a comparison page we decide the shape of, with a verdict that names who the product suits and a cons list that is not empty. It is not an advertisement you supply.

That is the trade. You do not control the copy. In exchange, the page is one a buyer will actually finish reading, and the click you get from it is from somebody who already read what you are bad at and came anyway.

What a listing includes

  • A profile page with facts, pros and cons, and a link to your site.
  • A card on every comparison page where the product genuinely fits, with a written verdict.
  • Demo requests from that profile, forwarded to the address on your claimed listing.

No price list here. Sponsored placement is arranged case by case while the directory is young.

How we decide who gets listed

We start from the job a page is about and ask which products a competent buyer would shortlist for it. Products that serve a different buyer get left off, however good they are.

Then we read your documentation, your pricing page and your release notes. If a claim cannot be checked, it does not go on the page. If your pricing is quote-only, the page says so rather than inventing a number.

Sponsored placement is available on some pages. It is a separately labelled slot shown above the editorial list — not a position inside it. It does not move you up the ranking, and it does not change the verdict, the cons, the facts or the comparison table. It will not put you on a page you do not belong on.

The full version of all of this is on the editorial policy page.

Claim an existing listing

If your product already has a profile here, claim it to keep the facts current and to receive demo requests. Use an email address at your own domain.

Find your product in the vendor index and use the Claim button on its profile. That carries the right listing through to this form.

Add a new listing

Tell us what the product does, who it is for, and which of our pages you think it belongs on. One paragraph is enough. We reply either way.

Suggest a product

We read every one of these. A link to your documentation helps more than a pitch deck.
