MetaProject

MetaProject is a product engineering consultancy founded in 2018. It builds and integrates business software for companies in the US, UK, EU and APAC, and lists offices in San Francisco, Tallinn and Odesa. MetaProject publishes Shopfloor Index; it is listed on this page under the same rules as every other firm here, and the slot it holds is labelled as sponsored.

The work it describes is architecture and platform engineering rather than a packaged product: architecture review, internal developer platforms, DevSecOps, legacy and application modernization, data engineering and LLM work, and the operating model around them. Engagements run inside the client's own repositories, alongside the client's engineers, in three phases the company calls co-execution, transition and self-sufficiency, with the handover defined at the start.

Smaller commitments start with a Blueprint Sprint: four weeks, fixed scope and fixed price, assessing the architecture, the operating model and the team, and ending in a roadmap the client can act on with or without MetaProject. Larger engagements are scoped and quoted, from $100,000 for a custom solution, with engineering rates from $50 an hour. Its published case studies are in maritime logistics, esports, and healthcare.
